Canter Safari

Canter Safari

When camping outside of the Corbett tiger reserve, a Dhikala Canter safari in Corbett is the ideal method to visit the Dhikala jungle because daytime gypsy tours are not allowed in the Dhikala zone. However, there is a canter that departs from Ramnagar in the morning and the afternoon that can transport 18 passengers into this region. A canter that left for Dhikala in the morning would return to the base in the afternoon, and a canter that leaves in the afternoon would return in the evening.

About

The best place in Corbett National Park to see wildlife in its native habitat is probably in the Dhikala region. The draw of this region of the Park is the vast expanse of grasslands known as “Chaurs.”
